Faume, the pioneering second-hand platform for fashion and luxury brands, co-founded in July 2020 by Aymeric Déchin, Nicolas Viant, Jocelyn Kerbourc’h, and Lucas Patricot, has announced a new €8 million funding round led by Amundi Private Equity Transition Juste, along with existing investors Daphni and Bpifrance via its Digital Venture fund. Over the past five years, Faume has established itself in France as a leading partner for luxury and premium fashion brands.
This new investment will enable Faume to accelerate its expansion in Europe, especially in the Italian and British markets, where the startup has just launched its first partnership with iconic fashion brand Victoria Beckham. The UK is already a significant market for fashion brands, renowned for its business potential and innovation.
The Italian market is following this trend and is increasingly opening up to second-hand fashion, with announcements from major brands expected soon. Faume has already supported several French brands'; expansions into Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, and Italy, aligning with their growth priorities. Since its inception, the company has facilitated the sale of over 300,000 premium second-hand fashion items, with over 40% sold outside of France. In 2024 alone, it helped avoid over 4,200 tons of CO2 emissions through clothing refurbishment and reuse in the highly carbon-intensive textile sector.
Faume offers an alternative to traditional marketplaces. Its proprietary innovative technology
and integrated logistics enable luxury and premium brands to offer second-hand sales directly
under their own labels, maintaining a customer experience as refined as purchasing new
items:
● A seamless, premium customer experience aligned with luxury brand standards.
● Complete control over brand image, pricing, and product distribution.
● A sustainable and profitable solution seamlessly integrated into brands' ecosystems.
